How to measure for a Bucas Rug: measure the horse from (A) the centre point of the chest, over the high point of the shoulder, to (B) the rear of the hind leg. When you have the measurement, choose the nearest size from the size table above. The lenght of body, calculated in either metric, will show you the respective length of the back seam.

Some of the Bucas rugs are offered in special sizes: S, M, L, XL. If your horse measures in between these sizes you might be better getting the smaller size, as the larger size might move around more or end up pulling the rug backwards.

The Bucas Therapy Cooler not only assists in the treatment of medical problems, but also prevents a variety of ailments as a preventative measure. The Cooler is made of an extremely fine stainless steel mesh that reflects the magnetic fields generated in the body. This, in turn, stimulates blood flow and oxygen flow in the horse's body and back, which helps swelling and inflammation to heal or accelerate healing. The Bucas Cooler is the ideal blanket for the warmer months of the year. The Cooler can be worn by the horse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if necessary, as it is NOT a magnetic rug. However, it is recommended to increase and monitor the use of the therapy rugs slowly, as the properties of the material heat up the muscles and the horse may start to sweat if the cooler is used for a long time. The Cooler is equipped with the identical properties of the other Bucas Therapy rugs and also has a fine mesh material in the lower area for optimal air circulation.
