The seat is made entirely of genuine sheepskin, the underside only in the back area. Removable pads to the left and right of the vertebral canal increase the seating comfort and protect the horse's back. Usually the Basic Plus is ridden without stirrups, like other bareback pads. For better balance, it is possible to attach stirrup leathers to D-rings under the lambskin seat.
