TURNADO bits represent a new generation of loose ring snaffles. The joint is angled forward by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and to avoid palate pressure. In traditional single-jointed bits, the bit arms are of unequal length due to manufacturing constraints, which results in slightly more pressure on one side. This issue is eliminated by using a TURNADO bit. It is also suitable for horses with mild tongue sensitivity. The rotation of the mouthpiece is marked by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) in the center section of the bit. This TURNADO 3-ring bit ensures balanced pressure on the tongue and poll. If your horse has a strong forward tendency, the 3-ring bit may be an ideal choice. Its stronger action is well-suited for horses that are difficult to regulate and tend to evade upward. Due to its distinct effect, this bit is especially recommended for riders with sensitive hands. Whether to ride with one or two sets of reins can be chosen individually by the rider.
