This anti-rearing bit is helpful for leading breeding stallions and other horses prone to rearing while being led.
The ring of the Chifney bit sits in the horse’s mouth with the three bit rings facing down and out towards the sides. These are attached to a separate neck strap or halter with small karabiners and then with a lead rope or chain for safe handling on the ground. It can be used to prevent the horse from rearing since the pressure from the bit is released when the horse is not pulling upward.
Thickness: 18mm.
Always wash a bit after each use. Remove from bridle and soak in hot water. Use small brush to remove residue. Dry with clean towel.
